Q

Can a student repeat a course?

A

A student may repeat up to two (2) courses if he/she had a grade of “D” or below.  Permission from the Dean of Instruction and the adviser must be granted for a student to repeat a course if the student has a “C” or better in a course.  On any course repeated, the higher grade is considered the final grade.  However, all grades will remain on the transcript even if courses are repeated.

Q

What courses will transfer?

A

All semester hours, including “D’s” and “F’s” are transferable to most senior colleges and universities if the student has a cumulative GPA of 2.0.  However, in some cases, minimum grades are accepted in particular programs of study.  As an example, Mississippi State University will not accept a “D” on any transfer credit.  Please check the senior college catalogs for particular requirements of individual schools.
