NORTHEAST SET TO HOST STATE GAMES TRYOUTS

 BOONEVILLE, Miss.-- Northeast Mississippi Community College head baseball coach Kent Farris has announced that NEMCC will be hosting District 1 baseball tryouts for the 2007 State Games of Mississippi, on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Harold T. White field in Booneville beginning at 4 p.m.

The tryouts will be available to any high school players who are currently juniors, or sophomores, from any school in District 1 of the Mississippi High School Athletic Association (MHSAA).

Players chosen will compete at the State Games in Meridian on June 20-24, 2007.

"It's an honor for us to be able to host these tryouts," NEMCC's Kent Farris said. "We are extremely proud of our facility, and our location makes it a little easier for kids from every corner of District 1 to be able to travel here, as opposed to other places. So, I think this is a win-win for everyone."
