BOONEVILLE, Miss.--Northeast Mississippi Community College head baseball coach Kent Farris has added outfielder Hunter Mize to his list of 2008 signees. Mize is a senior at Lafayette County High School.

Northeast assistant Richy Harrelson was head coach at LCHS through the 2007 season where he coached Mize.

"Hunter is a solid contact hitter," said Harrelson, in his first season at NEMCC. "One of Hunter's greatest assets is his athletic ability. He can really run. That, combined with good instincts, makes him an excellent centerfielder and base-stealer as well."

As a junior on Harrelson's 2007 Lafayette County team, Mize batted .427 with 36 RBI, two homeruns, and 40 runs scored while racking up 26 stolen bases.
