TIGERS EARN POSTSEASON SPOT: MACJC NORTH #2 SEED

BOONEVILLE, Miss.-- Coach David Robbins' Northeast Tigers have reached their goal of earning spots in postseason tournaments: the MACJC State Tournament February 25-28, and the Region XXIII Tournament March 3-6.

Northeast's men will be the number two seed from the North Division after finishing the regular season with a 15-10, 7-5 record.

"I'm very pleased with the fact that we've gauranteed ourselves a spot in the postseason," said Robbins. "Obviously we wanted to win the division, but the good thing is once the postseason starts then everybody's even. We've got a solid team and if we perform at a high level in both tournaments we've got a shot."

Robbins' Tigers will face Pearl River CC at 3:15pm in round one of the men's state tournament on Monday, February 25 at Itawamba Community College.
