BOONEVILLE, Miss.--Four Northeast Mississippi Community College sophomores signed football scholarships with four-year colleges on national signing day: defensive end Mario Addison (Birmingham, Ala.) with Troy University, defensive tackle B.J. Taylor (Tuscumbia, Ala.) with University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, defensive back Marco Ewing (West Point) with the University of North Alabama, and wide receiver Anthony Jones (Tallahassee, FL) with Middle Tennessee State University.
Addison was an All-State selection following the 2007 season, finishing with 52 total tackles, 21 tackles for losses, and 3.5 sacks.
Taylor finished his sophomore season at Northeast with 22 tackles including 10.5 for losses.
Following a stellar high school career at West Point High School, Ewing was a two-year starter at Northeast. As a sophomore, the cornerback made 20 tackles and hauled in two interceptions, as well as blocking two field goal attempts.
Jones was a two-year starter for the Tigers' offense. As a sophomore in 2007 Jones grabbed 38 receptions for 478 yards and four touchdowns.
Ten Northeast Tigers inked with four-year schools during the early signing period of December 2007. Wednesday's signees bring the total number to 14 Tigers moving on.
