BOONEVILLE, Miss.--  Northeast Mississippi Community College defensive tackle Quinton Johnson (Columbus) committed on Thursday to attend Charleston Southern University where he’ll play football for the Division I-AA Buccaneers.

Johnson is a 6’2”, 270 lb. defensive lineman that totaled 45 tackles, and eight sacks this season while averaging two tackles-for-loss per contest.

The former Columbus (Miss.) High School standout started all nine games on the defensive line for coach Andy Greening and the Northeast Tigers in 2006.
