ALCORN CENTRAL STANDOUT SIGNS WITH NORTHEAST
Tull becomes eighth golfer to sign with Tigers this year

BOONEVILLE, Miss. --Northeast Mississippi Community College golf coach Craig Lauderdale has signed Alcorn Central High School graduate Josh Tull to a letter of intent to play for the Tigers beginning in the Fall of 2008.

Tull becomes the eighth golfer to sign with Northeast this year.

“He is a good high school golfer from our area,” said Lauderdale, who just claimed his second consecutive Region 23 Coach of the Year honor. “He was the top golfer at Alcorn Central and we look for him to be in our top five at Northeast.”

Tull, who played for Steve Bullard at Alcorn Central High School, wrapped up his six-year career at the Glen-based school in May.

“Nine of our 11 golfers will be freshmen this year,” Lauderdale said. “We are looking for him to qualify first off and everything looks good for him.”

As a junior for the Alcorn Central Golden Bears, Tull helped lead ACHS to a third-place finish in the Class 3A State Golf Tournament at Forest Country Club in 2006.

Tull is the son of Michael Tull and Denise Brooks of Corinth.
