NORTHEAST GOLF ANNOUNCES 2009 SPRING SCHEDULE

BOONEVILLE, Miss. – Northeast Mississippi Community College’s men’s golf team is pleased to announce their 2009 spring schedule.

Northeast, under the direction of 2007 Region XXIII Coach of the Year Craig Lauderdale will open up the campaign at Laurel Community College where they will face Gulf Coast on February 16-17.

After two years in Division III competition (non-scholarship) Northeast’s golf team moved back to Division II during the 2008 fall semesters, and will remain in Division II for the 2009 spring semester.

In 2008 Northeast golf coach Craig Lauderdale led his Tigers to a second consecutive MACJC/Region 23 title and a trip to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament in Jamestown, New York. After an undefeated regular season, Lauderdale's 2008 squad finished 8th at the national event.

Lauderdale's bunch was undefeated in regular season play in 2007 as well, winning the MACJC State and Region 23 championships.

Northeast’s first home action this spring and last regular season match will be on March 30-31 at The Ridge in Corinth.
