NEMCC SOPHOMORE CHASE WILLIAMS EARNS MEDALIST HONORS AT CO-LIN INVITATIONAL

WESSON, Miss.-- Northeast Mississippi Community College head golf coach Craig Lauderdale was proud of his team's efforts during the Co-Lin Community College Invitational, the season opener for the Northeast golf team, as the Tigers defeated Jones County Junior College for the top spot in the Division III competition with a team score of 320.
Lauderdale was even more proud of his top sophomore, Chase Williams (Alcorn Central) who fired a round of 72 to start the 2007 season, earning medalist honors at the tournament. Williams' score was the lowest of the tournament among all divisions.
Jared Hight (Alcorn Central) and Jared Harding (Cordova, Tenn.) sported rounds of 81, and Curt Butler (Corinth) shot an 86. Hight, Harding, and Butler were named to the All-Tournament team.
Northeast will be back in action on February 20, at the Hinds Invitational at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Raymond, Miss. |
