BIGGERSVILLE'S MCNAIR SIGNS WITH LADY TIGERS
BOONEVILLE, Miss.-- Anna McNair helped lead the Biggersville Lady Lions to the 2007 State Tournament, the Alcorn County Championship, and a second consecutive division title, and today the 5’6” point guard signed on the dotted line to play for Coach Ricky Ford at Northeast Mississippi Community College beginning in the fall of 2007.
“She’s really going to help us,” Ricky Ford said. “She’s one of the best passers into the post we will have had at Northeast in a long time. She just has a knack for seeing an opening and getting the ball in there quickly. Anna will have an immediate impact on the floor for us.”
McNair averaged 6.1 assists during her senior season under Coach Cassie Farris, one in which the Lady Lions earned a trip to the State Tournament in Jackson. She also averaged 10.1 points, 2.5 steals per game, and shot an amazing 56% from three-point range.
Biggersville’s senior point guard was named to the Alcorn County Tournament Team, and was dubbed First Team Alcorn County, First Team All-Division 1-1A, and will play in the Northeast Mississippi Basketball Coaches Association All Star Game.
