TENNESSEE GUARD SIGNS WITH LADY TIGERS
BOONEVILLE, Miss.-- Northeast Mississippi Community College head women's basketball coach Ricky Ford has signed guard Imie Hall (Brownsville, Tenn.) to his 2007 signing class.
Hall is a 5'7" guard who played prep ball at Haywood County High School in Brownsville.
"Imie is the piece of the puzzle that we were looking for," said Ricky Ford. "She has the athletic ability along with the speed and quickness that will round out the things we needed in our guards for the up coming season. Her ability to score off the dribble will make her a very valuable asset to our team."
Hall averaged 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals per game during her senior season at Haywood Co. H.S. She says she considered several community colleges, including other MACJC (Mississippi Association of Community/Junior Colleges) schools, but eventually decided she wanted to be a part of the NEMCC Lady Tigers winning tradition.
"Coach Ford's team won it all in Mississippi two years ago," Hall explained, "and went to the National Tournament. Then they won state last year. I wanted to come here and be a part of that winning tradition."
