 LADY TIGERS RECEIVE CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS

BOONEVILLE, Miss.--  Northeast Mississippi Community College's athletic department honored members of the 2006-07 Lady Tigers basketball team during pregame ceremonies of Thursday's football game versus Itawamba Community College. Each member of the 2006-07 team that captured its second-straight MACJC State Title.

"We're glad the ladies could be recognized before the football game," said NEMCC Athletic Director and Women's Head Coach Ricky Ford. "We had a huge crowd on hand to give one last thanks to them as a group. It was also a great exprerience just to have them all back together again, one last time."

Ford's 2006-07 State Championship team finished with a 19-6 overall record, with a 10-2 mark in North Division play. The Lady Tigers sported a home winning record of 16-3.

Members of last years' team were Lesley Adkins, Whitney Mayes, Kountess Welch, Erica Harvell, Walteria Olds, Jessica Prentiss, Mary Beth Smith, Queanisha Cathey, Shayla Stroud, Keisha Southward, Jessica Bender, Erica Grayson, Kandi Knupp, Natalie Kent, and Krystal Robinson.
