NEMCC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SET FOR A PAIR OF EXHIBITIONS
BOONEVILLE, Miss. – Northeast Mississippi Community College women’s basketball team will play a pair of exhibitions including one home bout before hitting the hardwood for the regular season on Nov. 5.
Northeast kicks off its exhibition stint with a date at Dyersburg (Tenn.) Community College on Oct. 13. First tip is tentatively set at 4:30 p.m.
Northeast continues its exhibition play when the Lady Tigers break in freshly renovated Bonner Arnold Coliseum on Oct. 22 when Northeast hosts Rust College at 4:30 p.m.
The Lady Tigers will tip off their 2009-10 regular season when they host Northwest Shoals (Ala.) Community College in the 2009 home opener on Thursday, Nov. 5 before traveling to East Central on Nov. 7
During the 2008-09 season, Northeast finished with a 10-14 record but qualified for the Mississippi Association of Community/Junior Colleges (MACJC) State Tournament in Wesson. Northeast opened the year with a 4-1 mark with wins over Shelton St. (Ala.), Motlow State (Tenn.), Southwest Mississippi and Shorter College (Ark.).
