FARRIS POSTPONES SECOND ALUMNI GAME

BOONEVILLE, Miss. –Northeast Mississippi Community College has postponed its second-annual Northeast Baseball Alumni Weekend set for this weekend.

The event was set to begin on Saturday, October 17th at Harold T. White Field but, due to the weather conditions head coach Kent Farris had to call off the 2009 Alumni weekend activities.

 “We have been battling the rainy weather for several weeks now with our fall season, and the cool temperatures have further complicated the drying process,” explained Farris.

“We were hoping to at least be able to take batting practice on Saturday but it will be impossible due to the conditions.” 

The baseball coaching staff will be set up at Harold T. White Field to collect any alumni information and to visit with those who want to come by and fellowship.
