NEMCC LANDS WAYNE COUNTY STANDOUT
Larry Roscoe Chooses Tigers

BOONEVILLE, Miss. --Northeast Mississippi Community College head baseball coach Kent Farris has announced the signing of outfielder Larry Roscoe of Wayne County High School. Roscoe, a recent graduate of WCHS, will attend NEMCC in the Fall of ’08.

A speedster on the base paths who had an outstanding senior year at the plate for Wayne County, Roscoe played for Coach Chris McCardle who played college baseball at Ole Miss.

“Larry has a lot of potential,” said Farris. “Coach McCardle helped him develop a little more pop in his bat this year. I can’t wait to get him here at Northeast, in our weightroom, and onto the field. We were very fortunate that he was available.”

Roscoe stole 22 bases in 28 attempts as a senior, while batting .376 with seven homeruns, 32 RBI, and an on-base percentage of .581.
