TIGERS CLAIM DIVISION LEAD; LADY TIGERS MOVE UP

MOOREHEAD, Miss.-- The Northeast Community College men's basketball team moved into first place thanks to Thursday night's 66-63 win over Mississippi Delta on the road and Itawamba Community College's loss to Northwest on Thursday, January 24.

Travis Lee was a perfect 4-for-4 from 3-point range and led Northeast with 24 points on the night. William Burdette added 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field for the Tigers (12-6 overall, 5-1 in the North Division).

The Northeast women's basketball team received a double-double from Corinth native and pre-season all-America Erica Grayson (16 points, 11 rebounds) en route to a 63-59 victory over Mississippi Delta.

Suzanne Ford and Queanisha Cathey scored 15 and 10 points respectively for the Lady Tigers (7-9, 4-2).
