FORMER TIGERS SIGN WITH NFL TEAMS
BOONEVILLE, Miss.--Former Northeast Tigers Bruce Hall (Milton, Fla.) and Chris Bradwell (Jacksonville, Fla.) have signed free-agent contracts with NFL teams. Hall, a running back out of Ole Miss and former quarterback at NEMCC signed with the Buffalo Bills. Bradwell, a defensive end from Troy University who played at NEMCC in 2005 signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Hall led the 2005 Northeast Tigers to an undefeated regular season (7-0) which was shortened by two games due to Hurricane Katrina. Following a perfect season, Hall and the Tigers under head coach Andy Greening took a No. 2 national ranking into the Pilgrim’s Pride Bowl in Trinity Valley, Texas.
The 5’11, 210 lb. speedster played running back for two years at the University of Mississippi following one junior college season. In his two seasons with the Rebels, Hall amassed 421 yards rushing on 85 carries and one rushing touchdown, as well as 15 receptions for 149 yards and a score.
“I’m so proud for Bruce,” said Andy Greening. “He’s one of those kids that deserve a shot at that level. He’s the hardest worker I’ve ever coached, not to mention one of the smartest. He’ll succeed at whatever he does wherever he goes.”
During one season under center for Coach David Wilkerson’s spread offense at NEMCC, Hall completed 88-169 (52.1%) passes for 1,086 yards and ten touchdowns with just six interceptions. Hall also carried the ball 81 times for 265 yards and four scores in 2005.
Chris Bradwell helped lead the 2005 Northeast Tigers to an undefeated regular season (7-0) and later to the Pilgrim’s Pride Bowl in Trinity Valley, Texas.
The 6’4 280 lb. defensive end totaled 24 tackles in one season at Northeast including ten tackles for 43.5 yards in losses and four sacks for 28 yards. After sitting out the 2006 season, Bradwell suited up for the Troy University Trojans in 2007 and played in twelve games. During the Trojans 8-4 season, Bradwell amassed 36 tackles, 8.0 tackles for losses, four sacks, and recovered two fumbles.
