TIGERS COWBOY-UP FOR THURSDAY’S
MATCH-UP
BOONEVILLE, Miss.--Northeast Mississippi
Community College football coach Ricky Smither decided to shuttle the
Tigers football team to the Prentiss County Agri-Center due to the inclement
weather for Monday’s practice.
The Tigers held a two-hour practice inside the facility
in shoulder pads and helmets in preparation for Thursday night’s
match-up against the Hinds Community College Eagles.
The Agri-Center’s red clay arena is usually a
place for cowboys to “cowboy up,” but yesterday the clay was
turned into a makeshift gridiron in order for the Tiger’s to “Tiger
up.”
The Tigers lost a close game to the Eagles in last year’s
match up by a one-point margin, 14-13 in the third week of the season.
The Tigers will look to open up the season on a winning
note and capture their third win in their last four games
Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Hinds Community College
on Thursday, August 28.
