SMITHER SIGNALS FOR POWER

Northeast Mississippi Community College head football coach Ricky Smither calls signals during fall drills on Monday, August 10 at the Tigers’ practice field next to Keenum Stadium in Booneville as Northeast continues to prepare for the 2009 season. 

Sophomore linebacker Patrick Grant (Columbia, Ga.) sports the number 54 practice jersey before going head-to-head with his teammates in a blocking drill. Grant will be one of the keys to success for Northeast on the defensive side of the ball when the Tigers open their 2009 season at home against Hinds Community College on Thursday, August 27.
