NEMCC MEN’S BASKETBALL SET FOR A PAIR OF EXHIBITIONS

BOONEVILLE, Miss. – Northeast Mississippi Community College men’s basketball team will play a pair of exhibitions before hitting the hardwood for the regular season on Nov. 2.

Northeast kicks off its exhibition stint with a date with Blue Mountain College on Thursday, Oct. 13 at Ripley High School in Ripley. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

Northeast continues its exhibition play on Oct. 18 at the University of Alabama Jamboree in Florence, Ala.

The Tigers will tip off their 2009-10 regular season when they travel to Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, Ala. in a men only contest before returning to a freshly renovated Bonner Arnold Coliseum for the 2009 home opener against Northwest Shoals (Ala.) Community College on Thursday, Nov. 5.

During the 2008-09 season, Northeast finished with a 12-13 record but opened the year with a 5-1 mark with wins over Shelton St. (Ala.), Northwest Shoals (Ala.), Lawson State (Ala.), Southwest Mississippi and Shorter College (Ark.).
