NEMCC SOFTBALL TO HOLD OPEN TRYOUTS

BOONEVILLE, Miss.--  Northeast Mississippi Community College softball coach Jody Long will hold an open tryout for any unprotected, or unsigned softball players on Wednesday, May 2, beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Booneville City Park.

The tryout will include throwing, hitting, bunting, fielding, base running, and pitching/catching if applicable.

“We had scheduled the tryout earlier,” Jody Long said, “but weather forced us to push it back to May 2. This helps us see some players that might have been overlooked to this point, and gives us a chance to get to know them one-on-one and see what they can do or what potential they have.”
