NORTHEAST SOFTBALL ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE CHANGES

 BOONEVILLE, Miss. – Northeast Mississippi Community College Head Softball Coach Jody Long recently announced additions to the 2009 Lady Tiger softball schedule.

During Northeast’s spring break (March 16-20), the Lady Tigers will have events on every day except for Wednesday.

In addition to recently added games against Three Rivers, Mo. (March 19, noon) and Northwest Shoals, Ala. (March 20, 2 p.m.), Long has put in a fifth game for the week.

Northeast will now host Southwest Tennessee Community College on Tuesday, March 17 at 3:30 p.m. at Booneville City Park. The Lady Tigers are also schedule to play the Salukis in the Northwest Mississippi Community College Invitational Tournament on Monday, March 16 alongside Hinds Community College.

On Saturday, March 21, Northeast will hold its annual Northeast Softball Exposure Tournament for area high school teams at Booneville City Park.

Other additions to the schedule include a trip to Jackson State (Tenn.) Community College on March 26 at 2 p.m. before the Lady Tigers host the Lady Generals in a return match-up on April 15 at 3:30 p.m.

Long also announced the addition of Columbia State (Tenn.) to the Lady Tigers schedule on April 10. Columbia State was originally part of the Northeast TigerFest that was cancelled due to inclement weather. Now, the Lady Chargers will come to Booneville City Park at noon on April 10.
