State Design Contest -Each chapter can enter only one (1) design. -The design must be on 8 ½ x11 paper. -The design has to represent Mississippi in some way. -The design must be in color, no more than 4 colors. -The design must be submitted at registration of the Fall Conference. -The winner will be announced at the State Conference. Banner: -The winning design will be placed on the state banner that will be used as a backdrop as State Conference. -If your design is computer generated, also provide a diskette or CD. Pin: -The winning design will be placed on the state pins that are given out at the International Conference, as well as used for the State Conference t-shirts.

The dress code for the Fall Conference is Business Casual: Business Casual attire for official Mississippi Collegiate DECA Activities include:
Males · Dress slacks, collared shirt, and necktie (optional). · Dress shoes and socks (no tennis shoes or flip-flop sandals)
Females · Skirt or dress slacks with blouse or sweater · Dress shoes (no tennis shoes or flip-flop sandals)

Role-plays (Chapter Advisors will serve as Judges) Conducted by President and Chairperson |
-Members will be given a case study to review and discuss with team members. After a brief study period, they will then present it to their judge and answer questions on the subject. Some competitions involve a written test, see your advisor for more details. |
