Placement Office Services to Employers

Employers are encouraged to contact the Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) Office of Student Job Placement any time throughout the year. A variety of services are provided to assist the recruiting efforts of any employer. Examples are:

• On campus recruiting (part-time, temporary and full-time jobs)
• Job announcements (campus-wide or selected prospects only)
• Resume forwarding
• Interviewing
• Annual Employment Job Fair

• On-line access to technical and vocational graduate hopefuls’ personal data and resumes (Employer Prospectus)
• Free, annually revised Employer’s Guide for Recruiting

Note that most of NEMCC’s technical and vocational graduates tend to seek employment in the following counties:

Alabama: Colbert, Franklin and Lauderdale
Tennessee: Chester, Fayette, Hardeman, Hardin, Madison, McNairy, and Shelby
Mississippi: Alcorn, Benton, Calhoun, Chickasaw, Clay, DeSoto, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Lowndes, Marshall, Oktibbeha, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo, Union and Yalabusha (See Employer Prospectus for each student’s geographical preference.)
