Tim Gilmore (front row-seated), a veteran faculty member at Northeast along with other members of the college’s Strategic Planning Council, listens as Lynn Gibson, director of enrollment services, reports out his team’s ideas and strategies during a planning exercise at the April 12, 2007 retreat.  The Council meets biennially to review the long-range goals for the college, examine internal and external data about the institutional environment, enrollment trends, and economic factors. External presenters for the retreat were Darrin Webb, Senior Economist for the Center for Policy Research and Planning, and Dennis Parker, Assistant Manager of the Toyota Motor Manufacturing North American Production Support Center.   Parker spoke on “Visions in Education and the Toyota Way .” The Council is composed of representatives from the board of trustees, administration, faculty, staff, and students.
