UNIT I RESPONSE QUESTIONS

WRITER:  Write the questions and answers or simply answer in sentence form.

1.   How did I establish Public Resonance?

2.   What is my persuasive point?

3.   What concerns or questions do I have for my readers?

READERS' QUESTIONS:  Each writer needs four readers to respond to all questions on separate sheets of paper. If readers do not write the question, they must respond in sentence form to each question .

1.   How does the writer establish Public Resonance within the introductory paragraph?

 

2.   Write what you believe is the writer's persuasive point?

 

3.   Write specific responses to the writer's questions about his/her essay, or write down any            major concerns that you feel the writer should have addressed but didn't.

 

 

 

4.   Did the writer persuade you to change or rethink your position?  Explain your answer.

3. How well did the writer develop his point throughout the essay?

 

4. What questions does this essay raise that it does not answer?  Is there anything that you still want to know about the story, the characters, etc?. 

 

 

 

 

 

UNIT III RESPONSE SHEET

On a separate sheets of paper, you must have two readers to respond to the following questions:

 

  • What is the argumentative point as stated in the paper _________________________________________________.

           

  • List three or more points made in the confirmation.

 

 

 

 

 

  • List two to three points made in the concession.

 

 

 

 

  • What type of concrete evidence did the writer present (statistics, surveys, medical reports, credible sources, legal documents, etc.)
