The Associate Degree Nursing Program was established in 1957 and was the first A.D.N program in the state of Mississippi. It began under the leadership of President William Hinton and Program Director Miss Martha Keaton. Since program inception, approximately 2000 students have graduated from the program wihich has supplied a majority of the registered nurse workforce for the northeastern part of the state. Graduates of the program find employment in a variety of settings and provide a tremendous service to the health care facilities and the communites they serve across the United States. 2006 NCLEX Pass Rate for First-Time Writes: Average 94% Graduation Rate: 89% of students entering the Fall 2004 - Spring 2006 curriculum cycle either graduated or are elligible to complete the program within an expanded timeframe (5 rather than 4 semesters). Job Placement Rate: 100% of Licensed Graduates found employement in the field nursing |
