
ASSOCIATE DEGREE NURSING
The Associate Degree Nursing program is located in
Childers Hall at Northeast Mississippi Community College
in Booneville, MS.The graduate of the program receives an
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree and is
eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure
Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The
title of Registered Nurse (R.N.) is awarded after
successful completion of the licensure examination.
The A.D.N program is accredited
by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
(NLNAC), 61
Broadway, New York City, NY 10006 and the Mississippi
Institutions of Higher Learning, Board of Trustees (IHL).
The graduate is prepared to
function as a provider of care, manager of care, and
member within the discipline of nursing. Nursing and
general education courses are included in each semester
of the prescribed curriculum.
The institution is accredited
by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association
of Colleges and Schools, the Mississippi State
Accrediting Committee of Community and Junior Colleges,
and is an agency member of the National Organization for
Associate Degree Nursing (N-OADN)
