PTK SENDS BANNER TO VIRGINIA TECH
Members of Northeast Mississippi Community Colleges Iota
Zeta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society made a banner
available for Northeast graduates to sign during commencement
rehearsal at the college. The banner was sent to Virginia
Polytechnic Institute to show concern for the tragic loss of
lives on that campus. Approximately 300 signatures appeared on
the banner. Pictured signing are Rusty Whitten (l) of Corinth,
2006-07 Phi Theta Kappa president, and Joel Barron, New Site,
2007-08 co-president. Northeasts Iota Zeta chapter was
recently recognized as a Five Star Chapter, the highest rating
given and was also named the Dr. Shelby Harris Most Improved
Chapter for 2006. Phi Theta Kappa is an international
organization composed of 1100 chapters at colleges in the United
States and Canada. Phi Theta Kappas international
