Northeast’s Theatre Division is an inclusive production ensemble emphasizing several diverse aspects of theatre – besides that of acting. Students here are given the chance to express their creativity in a nurturing and constructive environment. Participation in Northeast Theatre is a tremendous opportunity to learn about the varied skills of stage performance while making lifelong friends.
Each year, Northeast Theatre produces varying performances in the Fall semester, whether they be full plays or one acts, and a full-length play or musical in the Spring. To keep the educational value of the program, the Theatre class curriculum is shaped by the show choices for the season. Both theatre scholarships and classes are open to all who show the desire to participate, though preference for scholarships is given to students with previous acting experience and those who are declared Theatre majors. Keeping our audience and students in mind, the chosen plays are suitable and challenging both to the college student and the surrounding community.
