Northeast’s Theatre Division is an inclusive production ensemble emphasizing several diverse aspects of theatre, in addition to acting. Students here are given the chance to express their creativity in a nurturing and constructive environment. Participation in Northeast Theatre is a tremendous opportunity to acquire the varied skills of stage performance while making lifelong friends.
Each year, Northeast Theatre produces varying performances in the Fall semester, from full length plays to one acts. To enhance the educational value of the program, the Theatre class curriculum is shaped by the show choices for the season. Both theatre scholarships and classes are available to all who show the desire to participate, though preference for scholarships is given to students with previous acting experience and those who are declared Theatre majors. Keeping our audience and students in mind, we choose plays that are suitable and challenging both to the college student and the surrounding community.
