Title III

"Strengthening the Instructional Program and Student Support Services"

WELCOME TO THE TITLE III WEBSITE

Title III is a grant-funded program which was received by NEMCC in 2002. The program is specifically designed to help strengthen the instructional program and student support services for at-risk students enrolled at Northeast. Currently, our Title III team is working with department heads to purchase new technological equipment which will be used to create several “Smart Classrooms” on campus. Once the equipment has been received, inventoried, and checked for proper working order, we will begin training faculty members on proper equipment use. In the near future, our team will begin awarding “mini-grants” to interested faculty members. These grants may be used to help instructors keep their curriculum up to date and innovative. Title III funding will have a tremendous effect in all areas of instruction at Northeast, as well as, equip our institution with state of the art technology.

Northeast Mississippi Community College’s Title III Strengthening Institution Program is designed to improve retention and completion rates of all students by developing and expanding the methods in which they are served and educated. The College values diversity as an enhancement of experiences in the classroom, administrative offices, and is committed to its open door policy to provide any student the opportunity to enroll in classes and programs, and to participate in college-sponsored projects and activities. There is no eligibility requirement to participate in the Title III Program. ADA guidelines are utilized in order to make proper accommodations for all participants.
