Angela Deaton Mott

 

Ms. Mott is currently an instructor in the Business and Office Technology and Business and Marketing Management Technology Programs at Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville, Mississippi  She serves as an advisor for Accounting Technology majors.  She is also an adjunct instructor for Itawamba Community College and teaches various computer courses through the NEMCC Workforce Development Division for local industries as well as online professional development courses through the RCU.  Ms. Mott taught in the Business and Office Technology and the Marketing Technology programs at Holmes Community College in Ridgeland, Mississippi for three years before coming to Northeast.

Ms. Mott received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Mississippi State University in 1990 and a Master of Business Administration degree with concentrations in Marketing and Management in 1991. She also completed additional coursework at Mississippi State University and Alcorn State University. She is IC3 - Internet and Computing Core Certified and Microsoft Office Specialist Certified at the Master level – Expert Word, Expert Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.  She has also completed certification as an Online Instructor and is a 2007 graduate of the MSU Insurance Education Institute.

Ms. Mott’s professional experience includes accounting and statistical research for the Department of Human Services, Divisions of Budgets and Accounting and Youth Services; Retail Management at Dillard’s Department Stores, and Customer Service/Sales Management for Flexible Flyer Manufacturing, Inc.
