An old favorite is back in business and a new one is opening up next door.
Northeast’s “The Den Grill” has new hours of operation and the Game Room has recently been equipped with exercising equipment.
"The Den Grill" is a comfortable area where students have the option to dine-in to enjoy their dinner.
The Grill is open only to students who have the 19-meal plan and students must show their ID before being served. Students who do not have the 19-meal plan may purchase meals with cash only.
Burgers, fries, grilled cheese sandwiches and beverages are a few things that are included on the menu. A complete menu and prices of each meal can be found inside the Grill.
The new hours of operation are: Monday-Thursday 6-9 p.m.; Friday 4:30-5:30 p.m.; Saturday 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; 4-5 p.m.
The Game Room is a place where students can go to past time, mingle with friends and partake in activities such as ping pong, pool and arcade games.
Now, with its new exercising equipment, the Game Room is a place where students can go to workout with the aid of the new treadmill, stair stepper or bike.
When asked what she thinks about the new exercising equipment, freshman Sylvia Williams said “The new equipment is beneficial to all students on campus.
It's especially convenient for the resident students in Murphy and Wood Halls because it keeps them from having to walk the extra distance to use the equipment in the gym.”
Other Northeast students also had positive things to say about the move.
Brandon Floyd commented that “It’s nice, real nice,” while Martez Betts likens the competition in the game room to the National Football League.
“I like the game of ping pong,” Betts said. “When I win, it’s like I have won the Super Bowl.”
