Honors Day set for April 24

Northeast’s brightest will be rewarded for all their hard work during the college’s third annual Honors Day program on Thursday, April 24 at 11 a.m. in the Bonner Arnold Coliseum.
NEMCC will recognize the school’s top students in each division, Who’s Who Among American Junior Colleges nominees, Higher Education Appreciation Day, Working for Academic Excellence (HEADWAE) recipients, All-Mississippi Academic Team members, Foundation Scholarship recipients, Scholars’ Bowl Team and others. The 2008 Hall of Fame inductees will also be announced. College president Johnny L. Allen, Ed.D. will address the participants.
Teaching Outstanding Performance (TOP) award winners from the Northeast faculty will also be recognized.
Sponsored by Northeast’s Iota Zeta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society, the program recognizes approximately 200 Northeast students for academic achievement.
AT&T is the corporate sponsor.
The program is open to the public.
