Babylon A.D. snaps watchers into the future
By Justin Burdette, Staff Writer
Starring Vin Diesel, Babylon A.D. is based in the not so far future.
Toorop, the movie’s main character, is living in Russia because the United States considers him a terrorist. Toorop is offered a $500,000 job and a new identity so he can get back in America and complete his mission.
Toorop’s mission is simple, so it sounds. He must escort a girl to New York City and that’s it.
However, the girl was artificially created and has only one sole purpose and there are two different groups after her for her purpose.
Toorop succeeds in escorting his mission to New York City but only after getting to know her and finding out what her unique abilities are.
During the mission, Toorop also falls for the girl, which leads to some interesting moments.
In the end, he decides to not give her up at all, and he fights until she dies giving birth to her purpose.
The movie has a great story but the ending and how it played out ruined the movie all together.
The end leaves moviegoers wondering if they have missed something and does not end the role properly of all the characters.
Watchers do not know what the old woman is doing and if the father died etc.
Therefore, I would say that out of five I would give it a two.
In other words do not waste your money and watch it when it comes out on DVD.
