Staind leaves little behind in latest album
By Mallory Stutts, Staff Writer

After listening to Staind’s “The Illusion of Progress,” you can tell the band has changed musically since its 2005 album, “Chapter V.”

“The Illusion of Progress” was released on August 19 and contains many songs on the album worth mentioning. If listeners liked Staind’s Epiphany then they will also like Tangled Up In You.

Believe and All I Want Is You is the album’s more “pop” sounding songs but good ones to check out.

The best song on the album is the band’s current single, The Corner.

Staind has a way with their music to change listeners’ moods. Their lyrics are more personal and listeners can relate well with them. Sometimes though, their music starts sounding the same.

Overall this is a good album and definitely worth buying.
