NE announces football schedule

Northeast has set its 2008-09 football schedule for the upcoming year and it includes a trip to Hinds and home dates against non-division foes Pearl River and East Central. All games times are set for 7 p.m. except for the Tigers' Saturday affair at Coahoma on Oct. 18 which is set for 2 p.m.

Northeast names Smither football coach

Ricky Smither has had the honor of donning many hats during his 15 years since graduating from Delta State University.
From a golf instructor to a track and field coach to collegiate tennis mentor, Smither has tried them all on for size.
On Thursday, July 3, 2008, Smither found one that fit just right.
The Thibodaux, La.-native accepted the job as head football coach at Northeast Mississippi Community College ascending from his position as the Tiger's offensive line coach.
