Advising Day
is drawing near.
Northeast will
not hold classes on Tuesday, November 17 as the school pre-registers
for the 2010 spring semester.
“I
feel advising day is a great time for the advisor and student
to reconnect and work out a class schedule for the upcoming
semester.” |

Advising day
is the day all students, whom are currently enrolled and will be
attending in spring, to schedule a time to meet with their advisor.
This allows
for one-on-one time with a student’s advisor and helps students
plan not only next semester but also the rest of their time at Northeast.
“I feel
advising day is a great time for the advisor and student to reconnect
and work out a class schedule for the upcoming semester,”
said art instructor Terry Anderson.
Most students
decide on what classes they need to take for the upcoming semester
and find the time they would like their classes to be before meeting
with their advisor.
Anderson is
a big fan of students coming prepared for advising day.
“When
students review their curriculum major and make class choices, before
meeting with their advisor,” Anderson said, “the process
moves a lot smoother.”
Pre-registering
for classes gives students a chance to be admitted into the classes
they need to graduate or transfer.
