Student Union offers plenty of events for students

Northeast’s
Baptist Student Union is a fellowship of college students and provides
a place for fun, fellowship and meeting new people.
The Baptist
Student Union building is located beside Mississippi Hall and across
the College Street from Hines Hall. BSU is always open for students
to just come and relax.
BSU president Justin Watson from Baldwyn said there are several
different activities the organization has coming up for the months
of August, September and October. All events will be held at the
Baptist Student Union.
Starting on August 27, the BSU Thursday luncheon will begin during
activity period. A local pastor will lead devotion and a free lunch
will be served to those attending.
Also on Thursday,
August 27, the BSU will host its first Coffeehouse of the year after
the Northeast-Hinds football game. The BSU provides the beverages
and the students provide the entertainment
September is
loaded down with events from the BSU. The annual NE-ICC party is
set for after the Northeast-ICC football game at Keenum Stadium
on the Booneville campus and at 6:37 p.m. on Sept. 22 there will
be a reality party (which is a game).
See You at
the Pole is set for Sept. 23 at 7 a.m. while the College Student
Conference is set for September 25-26. Interested students may sign-up
for the conference at the BSU .
October 6 is
“268,” which is scheduled for each Tuesday and the Homecoming
party is October 15 after the Northeast-Coahoma game.
Revival will
be Oct.19-22 at 6:32 p.m. and a hayride is planned for October 27.
Northeast’s BSU Halloween Costume Party caps off the month
of October on Thursday, October 29.
