Mississippi
Organization of Associate Degree Nursing Students -- Northeast Mississippi
Community College (MOSA-NEMCC) chapter offered Northeast faculty,
staff and students a chance to have their blood pressure checked
at no charge during a heart healthy exhibit. Members of MOSA-NEMCC
set up in the lobby of the Haney Union at Northeast Mississippi
Community College on Monday, October 26 and recorded the blood pressure
readings of those that volunteered. Also during that time, members
handed out heart healthy literature. Northeast chief of police/campus
security Dean Bearden was one of the many to have his blood pressure
checked during the clinic.

tradition of feeding the multitudes continues

in the Northeast nursing department.
“Feeding the Multitudes,” a mid-semester event when
the freshman nursing instructors serve lunch to the freshman nursing
students to officially welcome them to the program, began back in
the late 1990s. .
