Welcome
to Tiger Nation!
As I walk down the aisles of Wal-Mart I can’t help but get
excited as I look at all of the school supplies; freshly sharpened
pencils and notebooks and folders of assorted colors. There is something
about the beginning of a new school year that makes my
adrenaline pump! Just like the first page of a new, 3-subject, college-ruled
notebook, the pages ahead are filled with endless possibilities
just like the fresh start of a new school year.
Orientation was a huge success.
From friendly chatter in the cafeteria or just a kind handshake
there is no doubt why Booneville is the “City of Hospitality.”
As SGA President, I encourage you to participate in on all the fun
student activities planned for this year.
From pool parties to intramural sports there is something for everyone.
Get plugged in and make your experience worth while.
The first week of school you will get to enjoy the good life of
a Northeast student as you experience “Welcome Week”
to the fullest. “NE Life is Good” is the theme it will
be evident from the events that take place across campus. All week
there will be activities to welcome students back to school; free
ice cream, a cookout on the East Lawn of the Union, a back to school
luau and water aerobics at the pool to help us stay in shape so
we don’t get too caught up in the good life of a college student.
Throughout the year there will be various activities sponsored by
SGA to put a little spark of fun in the average student’s
social life.
You can find these activities posted up around campus, on your NE
email, and in your Student Handbook & Planner that you received.
I hope that you have a great school year!
I look forward to seeing you on campus!
Your SGA President,
Ali Ballard
