Crow's Neck has a simple two part education philosophy: Have Fun and Learn Something! We believe sharing knowledge in a setting that encourages exploration and discovery generates enthusiasm for learning. Experience shows this kind of enthusiasm stays with our students long after their visit. And we often find adult leaders are more excited than their kids as the visit rekindles a passion for learning!
Cooperation, group dynamics, environmental education, life skills, natural sciences, and outdoor recreation are brought together to form the heart of the Crow's Neck experience. The courses listed below serve as a starting point for developing a program schedule tailor-made for your group. Likewise, class lengths can be adjusted from one to three hours to meet your needs.

We are famous for customizing our classes to meet your needs, so please ask us how we can help! Simply, review the list below, complete and submit a Course Request Form. Night Programs
Discover how you can use your night vision and a heightened sense of hearing and open doors to senses we normally keep shut.
Learn about nocturnal animals and their adaptations to live in the darkness of night. Explore echolocation by "becoming" a bat and trying to capture some moths for dinner. See bioluminescence (Nature's "night lights") with your own eyes. Become familiar with your "night eyes," and how the cones and rods in your eyes work. Experience the unique quality of the Crow's Neck Night Sky and gaze at the stars, as humans have done for generations, and hopefully catch a glimpse of a shooting star. A favorite activity at The Neck, this is an experience you do not want to miss.
