Mississippi writer Greg Iles was born at the height of the Cold War in Stuttgart, Germany, where his father ran the U.S. Embassy medical clinic which allowed Iles to get a good understanding about culture in other parts of the world. He attended the University of Mississippi where he graduated in 1983. Iles first Novel “Spandau Phoenix” was a New York Times bestseller.
Some of Iles other novel include the Black Cross in 1995; Mortal Fear in 1997; The Quiet Game in 1999; 24 Hours in 2000; and the Dead Sleep in 2001. His novel 24 Hours has been adapted into a film. Iles is recognized throughout the United States and the world as a great writer.
